Dr. Sternberg is the most knowledgeable Doctor on the subject of pilonidal disease. My son had been referred to a general surgeon by our family doctor. The surgeon removed so much tissue that the wound was not healing. We were referred to a wound care clinic who told us that we should get evaluated by Dr. Sternberg. It was the best decision we made. Dr. Sternberg gave us superior care and did a Cleft lift on my son. The recovery was 4 weeks and my son was back to full contact sports (he is a collegiate athlete).
